Davies Manor Association Annual Events Calendar 2012

February 13 – 25
Fred “Buster” Scott Civil War panorama
A 19-panel painted Civil War diorama (nearly 100 feet) by Fred “Buster” Scott will be displayed at Hillwood. This historically accurate work depicts Civil War battles that took place in Tennessee. A short video provides background and context for the diorama.

Monday – Friday: 10 am – 4 pm, Saturday 2/18: 10 am – 4 pm, Sunday 2/19: 1 pm – 4 pm, Saturday 2/25: 10 am – 8 pm

Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $3 for students. Visitors will receive a coupon for free admission to the Manor House and plantation grounds when they reopen in April.

February 18
Nineteenth Century Ball – 7:30-10:30 pm
This event has been canceled.
Enjoy an evening of music, dancing, and food in honor of the showing of Fred “Buster” Scott’s civil war panorama. Catered refreshments will be provided by Drapers Catering and entertainment / basic dance instruction will be provided by Colette Ellis. Feel free to dress in period clothing.

$35 for one or $60 for two.

RSVP by February 15.

March 10
Quilters Pot Luck – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Bring a dish to share and a project to work on, and any Show and Tell items you want to share. You may also want to bring project lights with you if the overhead fluorescent lighting is not sufficient. Bring four fat quarters to take for fat quarters.

March 13
Docent Meeting and Training – 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Davies Manor Plantation will be holding a docent meeting and training on Tuesday March 13 at 10 am. The meeting will go until about 11:30. Lunch will be provided following the meeting. If you are interested in becoming a docent at Davies Manor Plantation, please make plans to attend. Let us know if you will be coming (901-386-0715 or daviesmanorassoc@bellsouth.net) so that we can be sure to have enough food.
