Cotton Wagon
Workers picked large bags (over 50 pounds) of cotton by hand, dragging sacks behind them in the field. Then, cotton was weighed in the field, using a scale attached to a wagon like this one. The cotton wagon was then used to transport cotton to storage or the local gin.
